Saturday I checked another thing off of my 101 in 1001 list (kind of). There is a local Farmer's Market about a mile from our house so we got up and headed out.
My friend met us up there with her 2 kids, too.
The kids loved the ladies who had the pastries (of course).
Overall, we were disappointed in this Farmer's Market because there were only a few farmers there and most of them had the same items but this guy was awesome. He also makes honey and raises honey bees. He spent quite a while talking to the kids and showing them pictures of how the bees are in the honeycomb, what they do in the winter, etc. It was the best part of the 20 minutes that we were there.
I did end up buying some squash and some black tomatoes that I grilled for lunch but I definitely want to take them downtown to the big Farmer's Market so we can have the full-on experience.
The kiddos look so big in your banner! We need to hit up a Farmer's Market, too. We've just been doing the produce stands around town.
