I've been back from my vacation for almost two weeks now and I still haven't gotten motivated to work out. In these past two weeks, I worked out only two days--1.75 miles (does that even count?) and Jackie Warner's 40 Minute Power Circuit. I just have no motivation.
Now there have been surrounding factors that have made it a little more difficult but, let's face it, when it comes to my fitness it is MY responsibility. I have stayed on top of my eating which has become somewhat second nature now but the motivation to get up and put out any energy is just not there. I guess maybe I stayed in that vacation relaxation mode
I'm hoping by reading everyone's blogs today that I will get that desire again.
My biggest motivation for working out over the past 6 months has been knowing that I was going to be in a bathing suit for 6 straight days. Everytime I wanted to skip a workout, I would just think "bathing suit, bathing suit, bathing suit" and immediately I would hop up and do it. But now that the vacation is over, I feel like I just need a break . . . which is a bad thing.
Maybe I need to start planning another beach vacation? Hmmm . . .
What do you do to get yourself motivated after a break?
I do the same thing after a vacation. Horrible, right?
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to bookmark that blog to read here in the next couple of months.
Maybe now you can be motivated to stay in shape so you can be a bit easier on yourself through the holidays? I know it always makes me feel great to know that even thought I indulge more than I should, at least the scale isn't reflecting that!
I think everyone does that after a vacation. I usually sign up for a race to get my booty going because I hate to be unprepared for a race.
ReplyDeleteNew here from the blog hop!
i totally use health-related blogs to find motivation. Seems like I can always find a powerful story of inspiration and then one workout and I'm BACK!!! Good luck to ya, I think we all do that from time to time.
