I saw this list today and couldn't wait to take a look at it.
It is so hard for me to find toys not only for my own kids (7, 4, 2) but all of the other kids that I buy for (11, 10, 8, 4, 4, 2, 1, 1). I NEED help when it comes to picking out gifts. Obviously all of the kids have different interests and since I don't know what toys they already have, I usually feel overwhelmed trying to find things that they will really like.
I've listed all of them below with links but I've got to be honest, I'm not very impressed with their list. What do you think?
Um, NO. These things just look scary.
Probably not. Kanin is no longer "in" to Star Wars and the thought of all of these Lego pieces all over my house puts me into a panic. I don't think my nephew, Aidan (8 but will be 9 by Christmas) likes Star Wars anymore, either.
Tonka Chuck & Friends Race-Along Chuck $29.96
Maybe. My great nephew, Ben (4), loves trucks but I don't think I'd pay $30 for a truck that really doesn't "do" anything. It does say that the truck has over 50 phrases and sayings but I think I could find something better.
Yes. I think this would be great for at least 4 of the kiddos. We have the My Pal puppy and it is so cute.
Hasbro Elmo Rocks $54.88
No. I saw this last week at Walmart and believe me, it is not worth $55. It looks cute but both of my little kids didn't even pay attention to the little song he was singing.
Dora's Fiesta Kitchen $99.97
Maybe. Both Gracie and Caleb love Dora so I could see this one being a big hit with them. We already have a play kitchen but I think they would love this and it could be a joint gift.
No. I always get sucked into the LeapFrog products when, in reality, I could find cheaper yet still educational products.
No. $30 for a doll who's hair bends? No, thanks.
Fijit Friends, Logan $39.97
Maybe. Just looking at it, I thought "No way" but after reading the description this glob talks back to your child and responds with 150 different phrases. I think Gracie would get a kick out of that.
Hasbro Easy-Bake Oven $54.94
Not this year but definitely in the future.
Definitely. Every time this commercial comes on, Gracie goes crazy.
Matel Barbie Camper ?
No. We really aren't in to Barbie's. Walmart doesn't have a direct link to this.
Hasbro Beyblades Triple Battle around $15.00
No. Walmart doesn't have a direct link to this item but other Beyblades are listed.
NO. $100 for a lightsaber for a kid? Yeah, that would last about a week. You can get lightsabers for much cheaper!
NERF Vortex Nitron $39.88
NO. We've gotten these a couple of times in the past but the "bullets" end up all over the floor, in the bottom of the toy box, etc. Plus, with 3 of them, I don't need an actual war breaking out.
No. I love the Imaginext line and Kanin use to really be in to all of them. I've also bought my nephew a couple for his birthday. I just think this entire line of toys is so neat. Maybe Caleb will like them in a couple of years.
Spinmaster RC Real McQueen $19.97
Yes. I think both my nephew and my friend's little boy would like this remote controlled car.
Hasbro Transformers Ultimate Optimus ?
There was no direct link on their site but I think we'll skip this. The 2 older boys are out of Transformers and the 4 younger boys aren't in to it yet.
Wowee Paper James Pro Mic $24.88
Maybe. I think several of the kids would actually like this microphone but there is just something about paying $25 for a piece of cardboard that stops me in my tracks.
Hasbro Yahtzee Flash Games $19.84
Maybe. We love Uno Flash and I think it would be fun to try some of the other ones. I love family game nights!
