Today's topic in the 11 in 2011 challenge is Favorite Memory of 2010.
This is so hard. I don't know if I have just one favorite memory of 2010 because last year was a fantastic year!
I just can't do it.
The first one actually has a couple of parts. I loved getting to see Dave Matthews 4 times in 2010! I saw him earlier in the summer when he came to St. Louis (sorry, but it was the worst show I have ever seen him put on besides playing #41). I really thought that would be the only time until next year but then, out of the blue, Scott called me to say Dave was playing in Chicago at Wrigley for the last night of the summer tour. We decided to head up with a couple of friends.
As if that wasn't enough, Scott then "surprised" me by wanting to go out to Vegas to see Dave and Tim (Reynolds) play acoustic two night in a row. Sweet!
My second favorite memory is our very stressful trip to Disney World. Yes, I know that sounds weird to say that it was stressful and my favorite but GracieAnn still asks me every single day when we are going back.
This moment made me cry . . .
and so did this one.
Love Kanin's face of pure joy when he got off of the Test Track. Although he got to ride this ride the last time we went, this year he was tall enough to ride all rides. When we were standing at the Rock-n-Roller Coaster and he found out that he was tall enough to ride it, he was jumping up and down and giddy with excitement. Yes, that made me tear up, too. Pure jubilation!
This man sacrificed to make it all happen.
